Description

Skyward Digital is an indie studio with a passion for gaming platforms of all shapes and sizes, from PC and consoles to virtual reality devices. We aim to push all platforms to their full potential and produce fun, compelling games with unique twists.

History

In 2014, we met each other when we began studying a game development degree. We each came from very different backgrounds and had different skill sets, but quickly found a common interest in game design. Just over two years later, we had our first taste of virtual reality when our university acquired an Oculus Rift, and quickly began exploring its capabilities. By the end of our course in 2017, we had gained a well-rounded game development skill-set between us, and having spent plenty of time working with the Rift, we were inspired to enter the VR market and carve out a niche for ourselves.

Soon, Skyward Digital was founded, and we immediately started work on our first title, a quirky serving simulator set in a fantasy world. That game became RPG Merchant, which released in early 2018 for VR devices and was well-received. Since then, we have branched out into multi-platform development to target a wider audience, including the PC and console markets. We remain passionate about VR, and our first multi-platform game will release soon with full VR and non-VR support.
