Ever wondered what life is like for a merchant in a fantasy RPG? Wonder no more! Experience life behind the counter in RPG Merchant, a VR game that lets you serve customers and face unexpected challenges with the help of a mysterious wizard.
History
RPG Merchant started as a fun idea for role-reversal in a context with which many gamers are familiar. Almost every role-playing game has a merchant of some sort who sells items and gear to the player, sometimes with their own personalities and stories to tell. We wanted to explore the gameplay potential of seeing a fantasy RPG world through the eyes of a humble merchant, and we soon came up with a formula that was not only fun to play, but amusing to watch. The game has a light-hearted tone and plays on tropes and references from numerous games like Skyrim, The Witcher 3 and Dungeons and Dragons, while giving the player a sense of progression. We want it to be as interactive as possible to let players live out their fantasies in an immersive environment.
